I bought these for my son, and the matching adult for my husband. I'll start by saying these are SUPER cute, very well made and seems like they will last for a few summers, if you have a slow grower like my son. Now, I went by the size chart and it says that the small is the equivalent to a 5-6, perfect, that's what size my son normally wears in shorts and swim trunks. Wrong, these are super big, I'm talking more like a size 10-12! The drawstring won't even help hold them up.

So if you're looking for a TRUE 5-6 these will, unfortunately, be way too big. He still loves them, so we'll hoard them until they do fit.
